Just want to let everyone read the email from Dr. Pepe Abueva about the planned Abueva family reunion in December 2010.

 

"Bisan asa kita sa tibuok kalibutan. Mahal nga mga Kadugong Abueva! Madaugong, Malipayong Bag-ong Tuig 2009! Mabaskog o mapiskay nga lawas kanatong tanan.

Wherever we may be, all Abuevas are urged to reserve December 26, 27 and 28, 2010 for our first ever grand reuinon of all Abuevas in the world--in Bohol. We will plan our activities with your help.

Meanwhile, the general idea is to reserve this bloc of time to be spent in reunions in Tagbilaran,Baclayon, Dauis and Panglao and finally in Duero, our hometown. Those coming from abroad can have a prior reunion in Greater Manila before proceeding to Bohol.

Meanwhile, let us identify and locate all the Abuevas we know, get their email, cellphone, and home and business addresses, to build our Global Kadugong Abueva Directory. Let us build and share our individual family trees. There are programs for this.

Let me start. Our immediate family consists of myself, Jose Veloso Abueva (80 going 81)and Ma. Socorro Encarnacion Abueva (76 going 77).

I am the son of Teodoro Lloren Abueva (+) and Purificacion Gonzales Veloso Abueva (+). My father's father was Manuel Abueva (Capitan Awing +) married to Leocadia Looren Abueva (+).

My brothers and sisters are Teodoro (Doring/Teddy), Purificacion (Neny) Abueva Binamira (+), Napoleon (Billy) Abueva, Amelia (Inday) Abueva Martinez, Teresita (Ching) Abueva Floro, and Antonio (Tony) Abueva (+) .

Our children are Lanelle E. Abueva Fernando, Jobert E. Abueva, Rossana E. Abueva, and Jonas E. Abueva. Our grandchildren are Majalya Abueva Fernando, Celine Abueva Fernando; Joshua Roman Abueva, Jerone Roman Abueva, and Julia Roman Abueva.

How did this whole idea start? We had the visit of Santiago Abueva, Jr. and his wife, Gwen, and their son, Gerald, on December 30 at our home in Beverly Hills, Antipolo City, Greater Manila. Our daughter, Lanelle, came up with the brilliant idea of an all-Abueva reunion two years ahead, in December 2010.

So, mga Kadugong Abueva, let's reserve the time and plan the details in consultation with each other in the next few months. AS we well know, two years will come qui
